The 4th Session of Suzhou International High Power Test & Measurement Technical Forum International Forum Held by EETI
On October 27-28, 2017, the 4th Session of Suzhou International High Power Test & Measurement Technical Forum, organized by the Secretariat of Suzhou International High Power Test & Measurement Technical Forum (SHPTF) and sponsored by Suzhou Electrical Apparatus Science Academy Co. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the EETI), was held at Jinling Garden Hotel, Shihu Lake, Suzhou, China, under the careful guidance of China Machinery Industry Federation and with the significant support of China Electrotechnical Society and China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association.
Leaders from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Energy Administration, Certification and Accreditation Administration, China Machinery Industry Federation, China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association, China Electrotechnical Society, China Quality Certification Center, China Certification & Inspection Group, Suzhou Municipal Government, Wuzhong District Government, Suzhou Association for Science and Technology, State Grid, China Southern Power Grid, etc. attended the meeting and delivered speeches.
More than 200 experts and scholars, technical leaders of industry organizations and enterprises, etc. from home and abroad were also present.
Mr.Hu Delin, Chairman of EETI, said in his speech that it is of great significance to ensure the safe operation of the power system and improve the quality of the power equipment by researching on high-voltage, how-power test technologies to provide the power transmission and transformation equipment manufacturing enterprises with the conditions for product development, experimental research and quality improvement. At this forum, the experts, scholars and technical persons present had in-depth exchanges on high-voltage, how-power test technologies, a great discussion on how to adapt to new development, explore new methods, summarize new experience and make good use of new technologies, which will be helpful to promote the development of technologies in the power transmission and transformation industry and the improvement of how-power test technologies. The representatives present at the meeting were confident about the three technical sub-committees set up under the Technical Committee of the Forum (Special Technical Sub-Committee on Short Circuit Testing, Special Technical Sub-Committee on Electrical Shock Resistance, and Special Technical Sub-Committee on Smart Grid Equipment) to further attract well-known domestic and foreign experts to join the Forum and all activities to be carried out by them.
Lou van der Sluis, Chairman of this Forum and Professor at Delft University of Technology, also said that Suzhou International High Power Test & Measurement Technical Forum is established to promote international exchanges on the transient of the power system and high-voltage, high-power test technologies. In his speech, he praised Mr. Hu Delin, Chairman of EETI, "will win him the respect of his peers due to his far sight and the large, well-equipped laboratories established by him".
Leaders from China Machinery Industry Federation, China Electrotechnical Society, and China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association also made speeches at the meeting. At the forum, technical experts and scholars from domestic and foreign enterprises had professional, technical report exchanges on transient recovery voltage, large transformer short circuit test technology, power supply in the high-power laboratory for high-voltage circuit breaker and transformer short-circuit testing, electrical equipment seismic test technology, special pulse power supply for electromagnetic emissions, report on the spot check of distribution transformer power grid companies, study on the technical factors and applications projects of middle-lower voltage phase-selection switch, study on key technologies and measures to improve anti-short circuit capacity, etc.
During the meeting, the representatives present visited EETI's high voltage and related laboratories, and had a new understanding of the scientific research strength of EETI, an affiliate at the Secretariat. After the visit, the representatives discussed on keynote speech technologies touched upon this morning, and proposed themes and contents of the next forum, mainly including: 1. To strengthen the research of industry-university-research-based technological breakthrough projects on the basis of the existing hardware; 2. To spare more efforts at the in-depth analysis of product quality to promote it in the next forum to be held; 3. To increase the depth of research and forward-lookingness of the information.
The representatives expressed great interest in the contents of this meeting, hoped that SHPTF can continue to make new achievements in the exchange and promotion of domestic and foreign high-power test technologies, and make the most of the existing advantages of affiliates at the Secretariat, focus on the purpose of the forum, do the work on the development of the forum and technical exchanges, and earnestly implement the preparation work on the 2019 Fifth Forum. With the active efforts of the Technical Committee, the Secretariat and the sponsor and with the support of the experts and representatives present, the whole agenda was successfully completed and concluded.
